Ahhh, so many special posts these days!! Amanda was my college roommate and remains one of my closest friends. A couple of years ago, she and her husband moved to Atlanta and while I was sad to see them go, it has been a great joy to watch their lives flourish since moving. Amanda is a go getter, and the type of person who makes everything look easy. In college, she worked three days a week and went to class for two. While most of her peers (myself included) were boasting about their light schedule, Amanda was going to class for 8 hours a day, working 8 hours the following day, and somehow making time for schoolwork and fun. I never understood how she did it! And, now that I think about it, I don’t recall ever hearing her complain, which, truthfully, is not very surprising.
Before moving to Atlanta, Amanda started a lifestyle blog, but since the move, her blog has really taken off. I’ve loved getting to follow along with their lives from afar and see how she has grown a hobby into a very successful endeavor. Again, making it all look easy. The latest thing she’s tackled and made look easy…. pregnancy. The girl never complains! She continues to do house projects and go to sporting events with Garret. Posts timely bump updates on her blog, and decorate her little one’s nursery. I can’t say for certain, but I have a feeling that someday when I am pregnant I will use it as the ultimate excuse to do absolutely nothing. 😉
A couple of weeks ago, Amanda gave me the great honor of coming to Atlanta to document this stage in their lives. I could’ve cried a number of times during the session. I remain so grateful for this gift of photography and my ability to give people lasting memories, especially the people I love. Here’s what I saw on a fall evening in Piedmont Park:
