Heather + Luke. Micanopy Greenhouse Wedding

FILED IN: People, Weddings

Heather and Luke married underneath the cover of a vacant greenhouse. The morning of their wedding, they woke up to pouring rain, a flooded reception site, and no sign of sunshine ahead. Yet from the moment I arrived until I hugged Heather goodnight, she did not stop smiling. She even said, “I love the cloud cover. The cloud cover is so pretty!”

Thank you, you two, for showing me that even on what may be considered the most important day of someone’s life, plans are uprooted; perfection is unrealistic; God is sovereign, and his plan is so much more beautiful than our own. I am so very honored to have documented your wedding day. Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. Wing!

Here’s what I saw on a rainy, spring afternoon in Micanopy:
