A few days ago, my mom and I discovered a u-pick nectarine farm in Crystal River. After about 30 minutes of picking, we came home with two buckets of ripe, juicy, locally grown nectarines. I wanted to make something a little bit out of the ordinary with them, so I started searching for a nectarine tart recipe. The first search took me to my favorite food blog – Smitten Kitchen – where Deb had made a blackberry nectarine tart. I didn’t have any berries on hand, so I used all nectarines and it turned out great! We had my aunt over for dinner, and she kept commenting that the crust tasted like shortbread cookies! I’d say that’s a success.
Here’s a few images of the process. Scroll down for the recipe!
Ummm YUM!! Also, these photos are BEAUTIFUL! Like Bon Appetite magazine worthy! Also, where is this farm, I would love to get mama to check it out!!
