Fall on Film.

FILED IN: Travel

Every year my Mom and I go on a trip together. You’ve seen it here before. Remember Maine? Bar Harbor, Ogunquit, and Ellsworth? This year we decided to stick with somewhere within driving distance. Mom wanted waterfalls, I wanted mountains, and we both wanted somewhere we’d never been together. So we took off for Asheville, North Carolina. My dad surprised my Mom by booking us the cutest BNB in Candler, about 30 minutes outside of the city, and y’all the breakfast was to die for!! If you’re ever in the area, I highly recommend the Engadine Inn. Rick’s candied bacon will change your life. Along we trip we visited Flying Cloud Farm– a lovely family owned farm in Fairview that offers U-Pick flowers and an year-round honor system farm stand. Mom and I share a love for fresh flowers in our homes, and the idea of picking our own was just fabulous! A few miles down the road from Flying Cloud, we discovered the Looking Glass Creamery. It was the perfect spot to rest our feet and enjoy a beautifully crafted cheeseboard and glass of wine.

I brought my trusty Canon Ae-1 along for the ride, excited to capture the changing of seasons. Below are some of the highlights from a lovely trip picking flowers and apples, chasing waterfalls, driving through the Mountains, and eating cheese (one of our shared loves).
