Brandi and Jon were married on New Years Eve at The Retreat at Bradley’s Pond in Tallahassee. It rained almost their entire day, but despite what many brides would consider their worst nightmare, Brandi remained calm the entire day. It wasn’t the weather that mattered the most, or having perfect light for photos (although I would’ve appreciated a little sunshine!), or the outdoor games they had planned for the reception. All that mattered was that at 6pm, in the presence of their family and friends, they promised each other forever. Everything else was just icing on the cake. Brandi and Jon, thank you for inviting me to take part in your big day, and thank you for putting things into perspective and reminding us all what really matters.
PS 3 months later, we met back up for a post wedding day bride and groom portrait session, and much to the photographer’s delight, we finally got that perfect light. 🙂
